HTC held a Vive accessory design contest for the launch of the Viveport community. I entered the contest with a simple design for the Vive base stations to make it easier to put them up and take them down. Currently users have to use a drill holes in their walls to hold these base stations in place and I saw velcro as the solution. Although I ran out of time throughout the semester to promote the contest entry, at its peak the accessory made it to the contest’s fifth place position! By the end of the contest, this design had 76 votes in total.
